Product description
Gebosil Professional Acetic Silicone sealant for universal use, is a one-part, acid-curing, low modulus silicone sealant with good adhesion and long shelf life for professional use. It cures at room temperature under the action of atmospheric moisture to give a permanently flexible silicone rubber.
Properties mould retardant non-sag readily usable at low (+5°C) and high (+40°C) temperatures flexible at low (-40°C) and high temperatures (+100°C) good weather resistance low odour good tooling characteristics
Fields of application Professional application for buildings, house, car, boat, caravan. It is not suitable for applications involving contact with natural stone, such as marble and granite, as it can cause staining. It is not recommended for structural glazing bonding and sealing of aquaria. The curing time can be extended at lower temperature, lower humidity or by low volume of air exchange. It may be discoloured in contact with some organic elastomers, e.g. EPDM, APTK and neoprene. It is not recommended on surfaces with which the acetic acid released during curing may react (e.g. cement, concrete, lead, copper, brass, zinc, etc.).
Gebosil Professional Acetic Silicone exhibits good primer-less adhesion to most material used for sanitary application, e.g. glass, tiles, ceramics, enamel, glazed tiles and clinker; metals, e.g. aluminium and steel; impregnated, varnished or painted wood; and many plastics. Due to the great variety of existing surfaces, users must always carry out their own tests.
